Not the most beautiful, but when large scale sites like this use CSS and they don't look halfbad, you gotta promote.

    Coming from a strictly visual point of view, I prefered their last design over this one. But, I guess can't please everyone at once :)

    I don't know. I like VH1, but haphazard is a good word for this site. There doesn't seem to be a natural flow to the site. This may in part because the banner in the top doesn't really work with the boxed-in-main-content-and-gradient-background-around-it--ALA-style.
