The design of this site feels somewhat off-kilter. (hmmm, never typed out "off-kilter" before.) I think the main problem is that way too much emphasis is placed on the column headers. The strange stacking of panels only serves to undermine any sort of visual hierarchy that the designer is striving for. While the rest of the design is centered, the navigational buttons are pushed just to the right of center thereby adding to the cluttered feeling. Locating the main navigation above, rather that below the large, unchanging, image at the top means that the user must move his mouse across a wide area of the screen when going from selecting a different section to clicking a link within the content. On a positive note, the color scheme is pleasant and the content is presented in a sensible way.

Perhaps widening the content area, equal to that of the header section, might provide some balance. I do, however, like the general concept of various widths. The other thing I might mention, is the secondary headers, perhaps should be different colors to give some separation, the dark gray just seems to run across and provides no definition, especially on the home page.

It's a beautiful site and what a beautiful place to stay. A few comments. Why break the grid? It looks more like a designer bored with a system that works than anything else. Using more text vs. images in the titles and navigation on a site such as this would certainly aid in allowing people to find the site via search engines etc. There is allot more that could be done with the site - information design is rather lacking.

It's a clean site overall, though I wish the rollovers were more obvious. It's probably just a personal preference in my part. Secondly, I got a bit confused with the navigation. I thought that the bar below the picture was the navigation, but later on I discovered that it was at the top of the page. Other than all that, the site has a great use of colour and white space.
